Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to all services provided by CodeMatic (Laap Group BV) and is designed to protect both our clients and our delivery standards.

1. General Policy

Due to the nature of digital, software development, and consulting services:

  • All sales are final once work has begun.
  • No refunds are issued for time already spent, completed deliverables, or started projects.

2. Deposits & Advance Payments

Deposits reserve engineering time, planning, and resource allocation.

  • Deposits are non-refundable.
  • If a client cancels before work begins, CodeMatic may—at its sole discretion—offer partial credit for future services, but is not obligated to do so.

3. Cancellation by Client

Clients may cancel a project with written notice. However:

  • All hours already worked remain fully payable.
  • External costs (licenses, hosting, subcontractors, travel, etc.) remain payable.
  • No refund is provided for completed milestones, deliverables, or partially delivered work.

4. Cancellation by CodeMatic

We reserve the right to cancel a project if:

  • The client fails to pay invoices when due.
  • The client violates the Terms of Service or acceptable use requirements.
  • The project poses unethical, illegal, or unacceptable security risks.

Refunds (if any) may be granted only for work not yet started and solely at CodeMatic’s discretion.

5. Digital Deliverables

Due to the downloadable and irreversible nature of digital content, no refunds are issued for delivered software, code, designs, integrations, documentation, or other digital materials.

6. Support & Maintenance Fees

Support packages and maintenance plans become non-refundable once the term begins, even if you choose not to use the services during that term.

7. Subscription Services

If CodeMatic introduces subscription products, cancelling a subscription stops future billing, but no refunds are provided for previous billing periods or unused time.
